“tell me something you’ve never told anyone” he whispers
propped on an elbow, conspiratorially close
his fingertip tracing my lips
luscious
with the boldness only starvation can inspire
i smile into the darkness
as my pulse quickens
imagining which sliver of my core
he craves
all the while knowing
there are morsels he
could
never
digest
what juicy little tidbit would he like to
hold against the roof of his mouth?
i wonder
something sweet perhaps
about the stuffed bunny that followed me to college
or spicy
like my night with jose cuervo
and the girl in the turquoise earrings
or maybe something bitter
about how that scar he loves to run his tongue across
isn’t really from a
car accident
after all
“tell me” he whispers
i smile into the darkness
and feed him lust instead of secrets
there is nothing to tell

I like the way this unravelled, an un-confessional... very good.

Wow... I really love it. You've painted such an intimate portrait here. As I was reading, my mind wandered to the sorts of things I would be thinking of telling. This is fantastic!
