Look deeply in my eyes
past all my tears and troubles
Look deeper still there's something down inside my soul that bubbles
It’s a force I cannot see
but still I know it’s there
Look deeply in my eyes to see it sparkle like a flare
Journey backwards, from my soul
until we’re face to face
Look beneath the mask that hides it, see me in it’s place
Take a backwards step and see the picture that I taper
There’s a soul behind the man behind the mask that wrote these words on paper
What did you think

Love that last line.
The whole poem is quite good. Nice meter, lyrical.
Taking a deeper at someone takes time and evergy. People are not money -- face value.

Thank you for your comments. I wrote this after noticing that many people will not look you in the eyes during conversation or even just walking down the street. They take a quick glance and judge the whole picture. Most people hide behind a mask in one way or another and unless people look deeper than this they can not see the person or the soul that's standing infront of them.
