This Is Our Time

Waking in the afternoon,
eyes open to the sight of you,
    but it was just the mist of my last dream,
I reach out to claim a kiss,
only to realize i've missed,
    and a dream is all that it has ever been.

As a child laying in my bed,
trying to play a movie in my head,
    but we both know that reality's much more,
the dreams are nice but they're not real,

I hate it when we have to part,
I wish that time I could restart,
    just so I could always be with you,
