Bend me, Break me

A tightly tied balloon, with too much air is likely to pop. The pieces likely to be thrown away. Not unlike a broken heart. Too much love is given, only for it to be deflated and cracked. Then tossed aside as though it never mattered.

So bend me, break me, throw me down. If love can't be found, I won't push it. I've been through too much, for one heart to handle. I'm just a blow up doll; do what you want with me. I'm a punching bag. Just don't leave me.

Don't leave me.

Author notes

Just a freewrite. Not one of my best. My creativity kind of took a turn for the worst.

I plan to revise this poem: please leave constructive criticism!

so often this is the exact place that we find ourselves in...knowing that we aren't living our best life but to weighted down to move out of it. I think you captured the essence of this very well here. thank you for sharing. keep up the great work.
