Winds of Autumn

the blustery day made her think of Winnie the Pooh
and the hundred acre wood with Piglet and Eeyore.
yellow leaves fly past the window, driven by the wind.
she expected to see Mary Poppins shoot past, her umbrella
turned inside out, a scream frozen on her prim face.
but, only leaves and garbage left by those not so ecological
minded people entertained her view. nothing out of the
ordinary, it was just another late October day.
rainy, windy, overcast and temperatures that have a
tinge of winter around the edges.

Made me shiver just a little in the rain and wind... that's what good writing can do... pick you up and put you in the scene. Very impressive work Nemmy.
