Waiting Cloudbrust

dark luminous clouds loom over head
swirling dark gray, hidden light
trapped within a pregnant world
of seemingly prepetual darkness, waiting
for the rain to give way.

quietly, drops of rain fall
colorfull leaves join in, too heavily
burdened with streaks of rain
to remain atop the trees
they once adorned, - as time
passes - Slowly revealing, bark and limbs
barren, a natural silence
can be breathed in, mixed with the sent
of earth and rain.
