Up from the Cairn and into the brook,
Went the derbied goblin called Lewd.
He needed to wash, and soap he took,
To fit in tonight, he'd also go shoed.
On All Hallows Eve, he'd mingle and fit.
Short, ugly, and fanged, his face a mask,
He'd run, laugh outloud, and jest with a wit.
His ruse always worked, well up to the task.
All candies he craved, the sugar his fix.
Chocolates, corns, and caramels galore,
He'd bag all the treats and deal a few tricks.
This was his night to make a big score.
Free of the crypt's dark, webs, and dust,
Under the moon he'd meet all your kids.
He'd canter about and earn all their trust.
On tireless legs he'd walk all the grids.
With a fat sack of sweets and a swollen belly,
He'd kick in some jacks and throw 'em around.
Then pee on a porch, and his piss was smelly.
He'd leave a trail of ruin all over the ground.
A trickster's delight was his plan to hatch.
While the cats ran up trees, too quick to get,
He'd corner a dog, and that one he'd snatch.
And on the road home, he'd eat up your pet.
