Sweet Resurrection

Veiled beauty sleeping beyond lace curtain,
I can see you breathing. Creeping closer now,
I sense anticipation, see the sweet, bare neck,
feel the craving, to take you, make you my own.
Can you hear me calling you home?

Gently brushing away silken hair,
spreading it across the bed,
softly caressing, placing kiss upon your head,
swiftly tracing with fingertip,
a path down throat where pulse beats.

Finding the exact spot, I watch you, watching me,
your eyes pleading for the sharp sting of fang,
the gentle plunge to open vein.
I savor the taste of salty sweetness,
as I feel the flow of life again,
at first cold then warm,
I feel you yielding,
collapsing inside my arm.

Sweet surrender,
even sweeter, resurrection,
your eyes flutter then meet mine.
In one moment we’ve achieved a union,
that is, both corrupt and divine.

Immortals now! I beam with pride,
you are at last my pale, sweet bride.

A beautifully sensual poem about transition. Even if it is from the living, into the undead....Good Luck in the Contest!
