~ Father of Few Words ~

Seldom twice uttered;
Once was enough.
Always you cared;
Often were tough.

Strolling to town
You on outside;
Protecting me always
With fatherly pride.

Remember times waiting
On 19th Green.

Few times heard,
But always seen!

Shoes shined glossy
Could see reflection;

Wash behind ears
Aim for perfection!

Those few words
Seldom you'd say;
Taught me well...
Respect, honour, obey!

I loved you ...
Your distant presence;
Those few words;
Your deafening silence.

Now I farewell;
With few words.

... My few words ...

  "Rest in Peace"

    My thoughts go out to you right now in your time of grieving. The cycle of life is now completed, grieve your loss as you must, be grateful for the joy and care he gave, then be happy with your own life; for him. A beautiful tribute to your departed Father. Rest in peace.
