A Mother's Job Is Never Done

Such a simple thing I used to do,
to set a house on fire.
but now with baby on my hip
I soon begin to tire.

Toss the match and watch it grow
rising like a spire.
cradling Timmy as I run,
I certainly do perspire!

What did you think

There is a lot I want to say here, not so much about the poem (which I thought was very funny) but mainly with regard to the other comments – but I won’t, lol

Ah, you would have won an HM for this had I not entered. I’m sorry You can have the points if you want
