Elvis Without Sound

Like a gentle breeze it can be,
and yet a full gale storm
like a shallow river from the hills
where 49ers panned for gold.

The beating of the ocean waves
weathered shards of glass
a latch that catches before it locks,
the chill of frozen air.

From the curl of the upper lip,
and the coil of tousled hair,
From the swivel of the hip,
and bell-bottom flair.

"Love me tender," a gentle kiss
or a deep longing gaze.
"Jailhouse Rock," a primal urge;
desires that lovers wage.

    This is quite good Nigel.

    Elvis was the complete package and then some and could masterfully perform both soft love songs and rock the house. Much like relationships can take on both forms in their own right.

      Did she? Great! My older sister loved him too. I almost got to chauffeur for Lisa Marie for a weekend but I didn't get the job. Thanks for commenting!
