I Am Here Inside You

I feel your pain and weaknesses
more than you feel your own
but I am here inside you
please don’t feel like you’re alone

I am with you on your journey
when darkness looks quite likely
to show you how this tunnel ends
with light that’s shining brightly

Unconsciously you call on me
in dire times of need
I’m never far away though
I’ll come running back with speed

I feel your anger and I know
the question which you ask
But I don’t have the answer
just the will to fight on your behalf

All you need to know is that I’ll help you go the length
If you need me look down deep inside and find me

I’m your strength

    Everyone needs to know that they have someone on their side, even when things are going badly. While we may not agree with our friend's thoughts or actions, it's very supportive and kind of you to be there, no matter what. I'm sure whoever this is written for will take comfort in knowing that.

      Thank you for your comment. I find it really interesting how you have taken this piece. You say "I'm sure whoever this is written for will take comfort in knowing that".
      When writing this piece I didn't have a person in mind, i was writing for anybody who reads it, feeling low, that needs strength. The poem was not about me being there for someone, it's more for those who have no one there. It's about finding the inner strength, deep within yourself, as i believe there's strength in us all, even if sometimes it doesn't feel like that. Your interesting point of view has made me really question why I wrote this piece and in return has provided me with an answer. This answer adds even more meaning to this poem for me on a personal level and for that I can only thank you.
