The pain is here and cannot leave
Your pain is so obvious I can see
You hurt in the service of others
You are the key
A selfless plea must be laid
No longer can you go on
This shell fits so tight
From AllPoetry you are gone.
Don't leave just yet
Please hold back
People see you have
What others lack
You have that spark of humanity
You put service before your self
You help others while in pain
Put your pain up on that shelf
Allow yourself to take a break,
Do what makes you happy,
I promise you will miss this place
This world doesn't have to be all sappy.
Let poems be your release
Take a break from the pain
And when you become ready,
Allow others to make you sane.
Your pain is so obvious I can see
You hurt in the service of others
You are the key
A selfless plea must be laid
No longer can you go on
This shell fits so tight
From AllPoetry you are gone.
Don't leave just yet
Please hold back
People see you have
What others lack
You have that spark of humanity
You put service before your self
You help others while in pain
Put your pain up on that shelf
Allow yourself to take a break,
Do what makes you happy,
I promise you will miss this place
This world doesn't have to be all sappy.
Let poems be your release
Take a break from the pain
And when you become ready,
Allow others to make you sane.

I think you put it beautifully in saying that poetry can be not only a release for the writer, but a service in helping to those who read it. Awesome!! Would give more applause, but don't have too many and gotta save some for your other poems!!!

I've been on Allpoetry for over five years and have seen far too many people come and go in that time. Some come back, others never do. People get too caught up in the drama that goes on behind the scenes sometimes, it seems. Writers are notoriously over-sensitive, and when egos clash or someone gets hateful (too easy to do from behind the anonymous screen, it appears), people gather their things and go. I figured out a long time ago that if someone bothers me and won't stop, just put them on ignore, but others don't have the willpower to do so and the battles continue. It's a sad state of affairs, really, because in my mind, truly creative people don't know how to be cruel and wouldn't think of it, but there are mean people everywhere in our society. Good luck in the contest, Poet.

I have always come back everytime I lefted. I have left on many accounts before but I feel that this time would be the end of it all. I love to right and I love to empower all who surround me with happiness. I apprecaite your words and your attendance in this. I will think very carefully before my choice is fully made
