There

The wind whistles through the trees,
The grass ripples like water,
As the ocean beats upon the cliff,
She stands there at the edge.
Her long hair dances around her,
Little blue sundress speckled by the waves,
Dark blue eyes looking at the horizon.
A storm in the distance,
Lightning dances across clouds,
Thunder is not heard over the raging waves.
This bare-footed girl simply stands there,
No one else around,
Where the wind and water dance together,
Tress and grass sing,
One girl as the witness.

Author notes

This is another of my recent poems. For my poetry class we had to write a poem with imagery. The girl in here is a mix between myself and the girl of my Imagination.
