Hold Back the Floodgates Bring on the Sprinklers

I walked in the rain today
Not like the rain that pelted upon my face
In yesterdays long passed and gone
While I looked up crying out to the sky
In the hopes that He would hear me
These drops hung suspended in mid air
Awaiting me to walk into them
Awaiting to welcome me in
Awaiting to cool my flushed face
The fresh mist disguises the mist
I've let build up inside my eyes
