The bat fluttered
The pumpkin smiled so evil
The ghost said Boo
The zombie lurched
The witch cackled
The banshee said OOOH
The kids said
Trick or treat
And laughed in delight
Look at the world
From the sky
What a strange sight
The little children didnt know
That watching them from above
A ghost sat on a cloud
He didnt want to be a ghost
He wanted to be a kid
To cry and wail and pout
He was so very sad
He could not make a noise
Just sit and float and fly
He wanted ever so much
To change from a ghost
Into a little child
Then he smiled
He had an idea
He'd go to his friend
He flew to Storyworld
And found his friend Pinnochio
And asked him to tell
The Blue Fairy's address
For if she could turn
Pinocchio into a boy
Why not a little ghost?
So he went to the fairy
And to his joy
Was turned into a little kid
And was sent down to live
With a nice mum and dad
He was ever so happy
To become real again
And the only time he was sad
Was Halloween each year
When he remembered
That once he could fly!

I really enjoyed this poem...
I hear loads of poems about ghost and halloween things but i have not ever read one that wanted to be a child. Great idea.
