The melody of your heart pulsates in my mind,
I’m yearning to feel your intimate silhouette,
Scripting verses...brailed by your body's goose bumps.
As the thunderstorm muffles our love.
I lay in bed alone reminiscing the nights we shared.
My soul screams in your absence.
The scented candles flicker flashbacks,
Before you left my warm bed.
I tremble in the thought of you,
I desire to taste your salty skin.
Your scent lingers...
In the folds of the linens in the closet.
To have and to hold you pangs my soul,
To kiss and to touch you drives me insane.
As I ponder your return,
I’m flooded by only one question,
How have I lived so long without you..?

Beautiful. You were right on target with your write I can tell. Good luck in the contest though I doubt you need it.

I pretty much love this poem. Because I can so easily relate to this. My bf was on leave a few weeks ago and Im still clinging to the blanket that smells like him. But you've also written this poem very elegantly and classy, which is exactly what I was hoping to get
