the swallow at Capistrano

i can describe blue to you,
not one that has fallen
from a lover's eyes,
lost in shadows
with corners of tears

this blue has edges,
crisp with silver lights,
ripples of gold
the stars

a calm countenance,
of lips tinged with taste of salt,
blown in with a southern tip,
squids and whales, under the wind

it holds the albatross
and a dancing crane

i watch
so still from breakwater rocks
wanting to be the billowed sail,
white trimaran

lazily moving into a falling sun
just so i could remember home

how the vastness of water
touches both of us,
so i closed my eyes
allowed the blue to drown me
softly say a prayer
for the restoration of you and me

the last swallow sang our song
of old places and worn faces
before flying into goodbye

You take blue and begin the litany of everything that contains life in all of its sloshy fallacy. You do it by finding the beauty and the dreams, capture the reader so that love, with all its aches, wraps itself around us and through us. Out of the strength of this we, the readers, become believers that as much as swallows fly away, they return and nest and stay.
    Peace & Light,
    Tom B.

Haven't you ever stood and thought about what color is color? Or is that just me? Someone asked me to describe the ocean to them, this day seemed the perfect opportunity to stand and take it all in and try. I perhaps captured the romanticism of it rather than the mundane what I am looking at stuff, but then that's me and how I feel and how I write and it will always come out that way. You know C

    Beautiful words.

More beautiful the silence behind them all. And that enticed me to read "Hello" instead of "Goodbye" ...

it would have been perfect, had I the guts to throw my whiney child in the ocean, along with her Ellie the elephant. I sit here now, after the kids have gone to sleep, and think it couldn't have been better. Someday we'll look back on my child having her fit for the whole hour that she had it, and laugh...lol
    love ya,

Oh it was my first visit and it is stunning, that restaurant we passed as we walked along the main street on Camino Capistrano, Jin's daughter's wanted KFC lol...we wandered into the souvenir shop across from the mission and spent ages in there, and went to the Basilica behind the mission, it was amazing inside too. We ended a perfect day on the shores of the Pacific until sunset then a drive back across the mountains on the Ortega Hwy, we're tired but I had to write this down while I was in the car coming home, I am glad it brought back the place to you
