baby can you please just kiss the pain away

The summer breeze held some memories;
how it would whisk away nightmares and
show me love in the palm of it's hand,
only for a strong breeze to blow the truth away.
                        I just want to believe that your love was the truth

Maybe the grass did truly want to kiss my heel;
but i don't understand why it chose to bite leaving
raw marks that were a easy expression of hurtful emotion.
            no band-aid or neosporin will ever be enough to heel your wounds.

the sun spoke with a fire-tongue
and how i longed to have that heat
for my skin cells to darken and for
me to be the girl you always wanted
a sun kissed lover was your fantasy
                                                  sorry i was always a cloudy day.

    Fantastic use of imagery. A very poetic expression. I really enjoyed reading this. In fact, it's a bit of an "Aha." Thanks.
