I just bought a new cell phone before I was able to trade
But it’s missing the “take my shits for me” feature
So I need to spend my paycheck on the upgrade
I can’t resist the repetitive yearning and I’m turned into a creature
I dash to get the newest technology
Before technology out paces me like I’m a sea mouse
Before iPods start making my breakfast and I need toxicology
And my LCD tapes me to my TV chair when I fall asleep watching House
I’ve lost all control of my spending power
I have been vortexed by Google, Apple and Adobe
You suggest I maybe stop to smell a flower
But I am stuck in an era and consumed like a banshee
I know I need to stop; can’t have whatever comes next
But please just let me send out one more text

Welcome to Allpoetry
This is cute... I know what you mean, though; my boyfriends is obsessed with computer-games, and it makes me want to scream. But look at my shirt in the picture... I'm hopelessly-addicted to the Sims and Allpoetry (yep, I have that t-shirt too... me=loser.
)
I guess your write shows the reality of what the technological age has come to. But it'll probably collapse on itself yet. Well done & keep writing!
