Penetrating Rays of Hope.

I raise my eyes to the sun and let its heavenly glow wash over me. I feel as though, for a brief moment, it has dug deep and released the demons that have rooted themselves to the very core of my being. I smile; overwhelmed by a sense of belonging, and let out a light sigh of relief.



I am soaring. And for the first time in a long time, it feels great to be alive. Closing my eyes, I allow myself to get lost in this feeling. All stress is diminished, and I have no thoughts or worries of you clouding my mind. For once, I am happy with just being.



I speak, to no one in particular, and from my lips pour words I have long held back. As I let go of all my deepest fears, I can almost see the air devouring my every doubt, and whispering promises of a better future.



And suddenly, it hits me; I am strong enough to fight through this darkness that I once thought had control of my life. I stand up, and open my eyes; "This will be a new beginning."
