I was numb. Broken, but not yet shattered.
I'm shocked that no one could see the spider web cracks that framed my face and outlined my being. To me, they were so obvious.
And when you looked at me I know you saw. I know you saw straight through my concealer and dark clothes.
I shattered.
I didn't realize how afraid I was to have eyes like those make me feel like this.
like I was loved.
It didn't make sense, you had the kind of face that was dreamt about.
