Dawn

Dawn
by Darmok

Breath deep the last of sleep,
On horizons edge the morn will keep.

The break of day so brief so sweet,
the quiet breath of dawns' retreat.

Behold her veil of gold complete,
starlight fades with dreams... replete,

the dim of night rests gently, sleeps
whilst dawn awakens the day repeats.

Author notes

In every rise and every set,
this slow dance of day and night
captures the 'rest' of the day, and
her beautiful nakedness as she awakens...

I wonder in amazement
what it must be like
where the days are long and endless
as she stretches lustfully across
a golden horizon
holding back the coming of day
or the setting sun.

I am seldom found ...tho I have tried in earnest
with pensive stares and sleepless nights.
I have looked there amongst my dreams and
    thought I knew....until it broke.
that wonderous spell of dreamstate 'awakening',
foolish gleem from an overdose of alphawave surf.
Yes, I would ask that question of myself ...who are you...?
I think I am ....hah...at times found in my written
word, and sure enough some have said my name,
but I think these pages are more of who he is,
rather than who I am. If I truely were him, I think
I would be in love right now, because I shamelessly
agree with you.....there are some amazing words here
that reveal his inner nature and sensitivity. I think
I am 'elusive', inspired by beauty and shared cereberally
with a creative muse that occassionally holds my hand
as friend, and lends me these wonderous thoughts
that still perplex me....as wonder and dream again
of who I am and where is love.
