The sun warms my face to another day
Where sand and waves ever revel in a sway.
On this perfect island where I was thrown
that which I voice is law, and each grain I own.
No sprucing up, of onuses no notion
just eyes open wide that glare at the ocean.
Lo! but what's that I see in the distance,
a ship, gliding without sails' assistance.
Without sails' assistance?
How could the ship carry all this distance?
With my right hand I waved hello to this ship,
but failing to notice, it disappeared in the deep.
Oddly familiar this vision seemed to be,
yet my hunger's bite 's growing tight on me.
Thinking of nothing original to plea,
I guess I'll have my usual with some tea.
In front of me appeared a table set for two,
and a note that reads "for your love and you".
Oh, but how strange, there's no soul in existence.
Hey island, I demand an explanation this instance.
And just as I uttered the word "instance",
again I saw a ship in the distance.
with both hands I waved hello to this ship,
but failing to notice, it disappeared in the deep.
To put my perplexity far out of reach
I decided to take a jaunt on the beach
Mostly I walk on the warm sand,
at times I wade in the shallow water,
constantly envisioning my waving hand,
in my mind to that ship I repeatedly holler.
Strangely I felt now the ocean very alluring,
Like Siren voices inward it was pulling.
Suddenly, My heart started palpitating very fast,
As the rest of my body also began to protest.
Soon I found myself swimming on and on,
Next thing I remember is laying on my beach, forlorn.
