As I looked in through the mirror,
I spoke.
But my lips did not move,
I choked.
Her wings all spread away,
From hate,
The halo shone in her face,
Lovely.
But I did not begin to trust,
In myself,
A knife plunged through my heart,
Quite nice,
But I was still here in this world,
And nothing left to fear,
My worst fear had come to me,
Right here....
On this Valentine's Day!
I remorse but also die,
On this Valentine's Day!
I will, begin to fly...
On this Valentines Day!
I'll raise my arm and try,
On this Valentine's Day!
I'm not afraid....
anymore.
Author notes
Even though it wasn't one of ur "favorite songs" I think this one has the most meaning to me. It inspired me to great lengths and I hope you will judge on the actual poem rather than whether or not you liked the song.

Hmn....The same rythm applied to the poem is one from the song. Thought that might be interesting.

i actually forgot to put that one in

i was kind of confused by this line:
"A knife plunged through my heart,
Quite nice,"
but otherwise it was a great write. thanks for entering! beautiful!
I'd like you to read the poem I wrote, it's based on "Nobody's Listening" and set to the rhythm too
i love doing that.
my fave lines in your poem were:
"On this Valentine's Day!
I remorse but also die,"
