The pleasure of he and I

Stealthily he steals in to the light
my heart seizes with in happiness
how I've missed him so

that smile that melts Mount Everest
his laughter touches the twilight
of my soul
we embrace and I am home again
at last

"where have you been," I ask?
and he laughs again
I could die in the forever sound
of his voice

we spar just like old times
easy, carefree and mesmerizing
my emotions take flight like a
hot air balloon
I smile the radiant smile of pure
joy

it is simply he and I am wrapped
in a cocoon of warmth and pleasure

and then I awake
and it was just a dream.........

Author notes

I can not find words to explain how devastating it is to find him in my dreams and wake up to the reality that it was merely a dream. I miss him so!
