Six-oh-eight
She stared at the clock
Six-oh-eight
Where was he?
He always arrived at six-oh-eight
Not tonight
No phone call
No text message
No email
No car car in the driveway
Six -oh-eight
No him
Maybe he was dead in a ditch
Maybe he was in an accident
Maybe he was in a hold up at the quick mart
Or maybe he didn't know it was six-oh-eight
She stared at the clock
Six ten
A slamming door got her attention
It was him
But it was no longer six-oh-eight
It wasn't six-oh-eight
It was six ten
It was no longer six-oh-eight
She sighed deeply
Please tell me what you think

Your writes are well crafted, but disturbing in nature. Should that be cause to worry?
