Allow me to swallow the grains of salt,
gurgle the galloons of water that enter me.
Drag me beneath it's fury in waves.
And leave me only to remember
the last glimpses of sunlight.
May the current drag me to the darkest depth
Amongst the unknown and undiscovered.
Surrounded by silence and bitter cold.
May it cleanse all the burns from the sun.
Transform bronzed skin to blue.
Calming like the last moments before rest.
I shall not rise again for I am weighted.
With my most ominous mistakes.
In mere days the tragedy will be unspoken.
Unable to recover the remaining life in thy eyes.
Eyes stung with rough bits of deteriorated rock
Let it continue to burn through to the soul.
Harbour there till I find the surface.
And ascend to my place of judgement.
I shall be shamed of my indescretions.
Perhaps I should just ponder the open sea.
Never to return to the father's arms.
Shipwrecked and bound with no treasures.
Disappointment shall not find me here.
But it shall lay with me in my place of rest.
I can't be comforted for it offers no warmth.
It does not despense redemption.
Cowardice and floating through the afterlife.
I shall only hold the memory of warmth.
And see light in my last memories.
