Beautifully Sad

'Tis true beauty to give everything for another,
to imprint a lasting impression upon a fading presence.
Yet knowing that all things tangible to us are less then specs in all that has ever been,
and shall ever be,

to tarnish a life time memory is to leave nothing less than a fading stain.
I am so beautifully sad for you.

This is a piece i wrote about my ex after finding out he had had another girlfriend!!!!! We were together for a year and apparently he was with her for three. I was very upset about the whole thing, but then the other night when talking with a friend this came over me and I realised this was how I felt.
