It doesnt matter

when i remember
i dont recall the bad

i remember wagon rides to the park
and endless underdogs
the smell of marboral reds
in that old ford truck
records playing in the smoke room
and grandmas gravy in the morning

i never knew the bad
but i always knew your love

the rides in the '64
the scratch off tickets
and the fireworks on the 4th of july
and the 3 muskateers

i loved to see my grandpa
in my eyes you could do know wrong

i remember your cheeks all red
and how you slept with one eye open
and the many hours spent in the impala
the fuzzy dice and the old country tunes
i remember it all and i wish i could remember more

in my eyes you could never do wrong
and it doesnt matter what stories i've heard
you were my grandpa and this is what i remember
it doesnt matter what they say

Please tell me what you think

    Hi Baby,

Are you ok? This is such a sad, yet sensitive right. I love it!! Reminds me of something my son would say about his grandpa. This is great!!!

    and love

    Grams

    • he died a few years back, and he did somethings that were bad and i was always too young to know about it. well my family was telling me about what had happened and i had never wanted to know. he was my grandpa and i never knew any of it and was upset that they felt the need to tell me.
