A road, A way

I am bent.  I am old.  But still I see.
My shoulders flaunt purple depths & yellow majesties
Squint at smoky far, return to home & family
Around my corners – what will be?  I lead.

Distance is only perspective.
Fear holds back. Find my wondrous gifts.
Trust, taste, smell, this is not myth.
Walk down my road.  Explore. live.

Joined light and oil and vision
Seen in artist eye, then by another person.
Pigment patch of golden bright immersion
Flavor placating.  Someone’s version.

Seeing me – separately, we become one
Traveling me - together under the same sun
Different eyes, different feet, different fun
Each creating, new ways,  Never done.

Very, very pretty write here for the Prompt......I enjoyed your Formatting as well.......I am not a fan of CAPPING each L, as it tends to reada tad bit choppy....but it works here and that is how you keep my attention....visuals are stunning and the Movement is realistiic and keeps a good pace in motion......nice job.......God bless,

What a wonderful message built into your poem and certainly one I can identify with. I like the imagery. I love the second stanza in particular and the phrase "distance is only perspective." Thanks for entering my contest. Best of luck!
