Marmalaide Morning..
Blue like my yesterdays calling ,
Away on the wings of a star,
Over the ocean of silver
Someone came from afar .
She came unexpectedly sudden
To stand in my room like a dream,
Lighting the night like some heaven
Smiles lit my face like a beam.
It's a marmelaide morning from Tuesday
On Wednesday I slept on and on ,
A shining vision in August ,
It's golden and magic at dawn .
A thought I was having beguiled me ,
I sat and I thought all day long ,
Mornings are lazy and lovely
Marmelaide Thursdays so long .
A little girl came to my doorway ,
Dressed in a lemon pink dress,
I gave her a marmelaide cookie ,
She blew me a heavenly kiss.
She smiled a smile so lovely,
I sat on the bridge lost in love,
Bye bye for now, she waved to me...
Green was the sky up above.
