Child of the moon
Heart of darkness lost in the night
Sighing in the gloom
But reflected in the light
She cried unto the king of the dawn
Birth pangs as the child was born
He gave her light took her to wife
He gave her love and the two made life
I am clothed in the sunlight
Have I gone to far too soon?
I am the daughter of forever
And the child of the moon
And the darkness comes upon me
Like silvery shadows playing tune
I am alive I am a silver lady
And the child of the moon
Agony she is my friend
My saviour and my ever loving night
I've given you all to the King of dawn
And he says its alright
Clothed in ecstasy I take over the dune
Bathed in silver reflection and light
I am the ever loved child of the moon
And your guide in darkness night
Cry out to the wilderness tonight my love
The trees can hear you calling from far away
The Gods and the universe high above
We greet the break of the day
She sighs her last sigh as she fades away
She has played her silver tune
And at the end of the blessed day
She returns the child of the moon
