Author notes
A song about recent events. Figured it'd be worth giving a chance at a contest.
Story behind it:
I've liked a girl for about 3 years now. I've ALWAYS been there for her, no matter the circumstances. I've loved her unconditionally, which she pretty much acted like I didn't exist. Finally, she said yes on Friday. We had been dating for an hour when she started saying she thought she 'jumped the gun'.
So the next day, Saturday, twelve hours of dating, I told her she could leave if she wanted. She said no, that she really liked me, and that she wanted it to work out. Her main catch phrase of the night was "I'm NOT breaking up with you!" I spent Saturday with her. I thought it was all good, but the entire time she was texting our friends saying that she was going to break up with me after only 12 hours of us going out. One minute, we're cuddling while watching The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - the next, she wont even look at me or take her eyes off her damn phone.
The next day, Sunday, 31 hours after dating, she basically said "I'm sorry, but I'm breaking up with you." We talked for about an hour before it was official, therefore, making it 32 hours of love.
Today is Monday. I could cry.

shes probably immature and silly, and evidentally if shes going to let friends talk her out of something that could potentially make her happy, you shouldnt want to be with her anyways
this is a great write though, there was enough repetition to make it a great song, but not enough to kill it

This is deep....I could her the music and words flow together in my mind and I know how you feel...most guys I know are like that with me...they are intrested in me for a bit of time and then they leave and it slowly kills me...props to you for being strong and as we say in the writting world "keep penning"
