a fellow poet named Wendy, e-mailed me last week
look at this site, you might want to join
lickity-split, I logged onto the net

peeked at some poets works, then I was hooked
out there in cyberland, poems for all tastes
every work was different, poets finding their niche
then I fell ill, my HIV acted up
reading became difficult, I was commenting less
yet, concentration in thinking was what I lacked

.

companions were found, but I was feeling quite guilty
overwhelmed by support from strangers just found
'manage your illness and then please come back to us'.

Author notes

so it is not my greatest piece of work, but just wanted to share my gratitude to everyone out there who has been there for me.  Pe4ce and

Love,

Gregg

Thank you Ann for you comments and wishes...I will be fully recoered in a few more days hopefully by the 16th so at least I would be able to enjoy my vernissage opening night, if not, my friends will videotape it for me and bring it over for me to view.

Greg, I have read many of your pieces, and although my comments have been lacking. I applaud you for all you stand for and beleive in. You speak well through your poetry and I know it is very well received here, as I am sure it would be anywhere.
I hope that you have recovered sufficiently to return here. and once again be with our 'family' of poets at AP. It's good to see you back.
    Warm wishes
    Ann

Hi there, boy that was one crappy poem, but at least I am still trying to write while I am not feeling well which is a feat in itself...having a hard time doing my school work though, it is more intellectual work so I'm just bouncing around like tigger right now

Keeping the faith, Gregg...that is all. Sometimes it is not easy to distinguish between the good guys and the bad guys online. From day one, you have seemed like one of the good guys (and if i'm wrong...well color me stupid! lmao) Hard not to care about someone who is obviously so genuine. It is a rarity...and a gift. Tons and tons of good thoughts coming your way from this corner of the globe, my friend!
