murdered heart

we are different people now
the past is not the best way into the future
we have to start a new life

The darkness surrounds my every move

step by step I take

trying to forget your morning breath

ticking my ears ever so sweetly

The process of changing a broken heart

is a very delicate process

for when a person is determined to change

their original heart will melt slowly

to slowly blend into a new world around them

Where they will live undisturbed

until the process is complete

this is known as freedom

I am now living in world of mixed emotions

where you can no longer touch my healed heart

Author notes

A heart is a delicate feature of the human body if not treated probably their is a chance that you can live a life full of wallowing pain and regret for hurried decisions.

This poem is about a young lady that has finally completed the journey to avoid ever experience a broken heart. From watching her mother's body drown in the pit of the black lagoon causing the poor women's body to be dragged like a broken doll and consumed by hungry critter.

Love comes in all shapes and forms a heart needs warm love to survive and without that love your body feels like a empty shell full of grief and pain not willing to let go. Her process to freedom was a longer hard step but after many years she has finally come to accept her mother's death. To live in the world of the living once a gain.
