Re send it back (resentment)

Achieving harmony, body and mind
Could foretell whether we will rise or sink
The fitness of both means life will be kind
Up until God says we`ve made our last blink
Congratulations you`ve finished your tasks
Ours is to praise God and all that He gives
The least we can do would be what He asks
For we will be here as long as we live
We are known weekly to take out the trash
Hold onto resentment; bring it back in
Really, self-applied emotional lash
Not unlike deciding to commit sin

And so as we tire of the un-spared rod
It`s with great thanks that we give it to God.

Hmmm... I really like this poem.It speaks of many truths but I'm not sure if it is what I've asked for. Can you tell me where the hurt is in this or the fear or revenge.... I do not want to make accusations. It can be just that I have misunderstood your poem. Please message me telling me, it'll be sad to have to disqualify such a good poem.
    Thank you for entering though
It really was a good write

In life we write what we are thinking and when it hits the page it's magnified in black and white. It's all about the balance of the soul. Well done dear friend. -c

very well done I like the line "the least we can do would be what he asks" i very much agree all to often the world looks at religion as a way to excuse themselves (sin now repent later) and they miss the idea that to love God is to obey him

the title too is almost misleading but it fits well once you read the poem

its short but too the point and i like that and it could be just me but i feel like it could be a little longer

maybe pen a little more frustration into it

all in all though i like it and think you've got a good piece here

    well done
