In Memory
We live on, Yet still today
The wars rage on.
When old enough we did join
The Armed Forces
Where upon, we did say
We will defend our right of way
We the simple Men and Women
Will defend till night and day
Your right to live
in Harmony
Here we will remain
Ever watchful over you
Now all we ask
from you today
Is you watch over
And remember us
And How we kept
you safe night and day
We fought the Wars
That others did start
Do not forget us
Now we are Dead.
Least we forget
Those that still remain
and fight to keep
you safe
Night and Day.

This is superb and you know, The wonderful person below has said everything I would want to say and did it with so much pride for you all. For sure, These souls will never be forgotten and will forever remain at the forefront of my mind. It is only right that we watch over them... for they had given so much for us and many gave the ultimate to leave us the gift we have today...our freedom. Your write was truly fantastic and one which I really really loved so much reading. I thank you for entering and wish you the very best in the contest.

A write I did 2yrs. ago
I just want to say thank you. As sincerely and respectfully as I can, I offer my gratitude to the brave men & women who serve our country. I also want to thank the families of our soldiers as well. I get very emotional when it comes to those of you who’ve answered this noble call and volunteered to risk your life for me, my family, for our country and our freedom.
To all the Soldier, Airman, Marine, Sailor- wherever you are reading this, I want you to know that I am personally and profoundly grateful to you when I’m laughing with my kids. I think about you when I have the luxury of doing all the everyday things of my life. I pray for you whose names I don't know and all of you I’ll never meet. I try to imagine the hottest, sandiest, loneliest, scariest moments in your day and I ask God to keep you safe, to give you hope and to make you comfortable. I also pray that one fine day I’ll have the chance to meet you in person, shake your hand and buy you the coldest beer you’ve ever tasted.
To the families who’s sons & daughters or husbands & daddies, brothers, cousins, aunts and uncles are serving so far away: know that we don’t overlook your sacrifice. We see you bravely carry on. We understand your worry though we can’t possibly feel your pain. We want to help you cope in every way we can until the day your loved one returns to you.
As we celebrate another red, white, and blue birthday please know that we will never forget what you are doing. We will always respect and appreciate what you have done. And I personally will forever offer my love and gratitude for who you are.
May God bless you and this great country you’re fighting for!
