I secretly love you from afar
yet you only see me as a friend.
Your personality shines as bright as a star
to your every whim i tend
I wanted to make you mine
for it is you i desire
to be beside you for all time
to help you get what you require
you held my hand late at night
texted me 'til three
the feelings you'd excite
would end up costing me
for once the show was over
you just turned your back
find your next clover
and, once again, you'd attack
still when i see your name,
it may seem pathetic,
to have my body aflame
and turn me all poetic.
And so i hope you now know
that it is you that makes my face glow
and makes the world around me slow
all because i love you so.
