I watch the world just die around me
Sweet October rains
Clouds and darkness fill the skies
I feel the flower's pains
I feel the flower's pains
As they're wilting in the frost
The butterflies are dying
And the blue skies have been lost
The waters turn grey with the skies
The leaves litter the ground
This is where summer hearts die
And snowflakes hit the ground
Snowflakes white and fragile
Trap my heart in frozen embrace
When the world around me turns to ice
Each day gets harder to face
Even when those sun rays hit
And the trees begin to weep
The arctic ice engulfing me melts
And out the grass will creep
Until I see blue skies again
And clouds that don't cry rain
I'll always be as cold as ice
To numb away the pain
