Eclipse

Darkness reaches out
Capturing the moonlight
In a fight of control.
The wolves howling shouts
Die down to whimpers.
There will be no howling
This early, fateful night.

Whispers of the wind
In the brown and yellow leaves.
The darkness covers all
In a cloaking like fear.
The ones who are big
Feeling so very small...

Darkness covers all for
Minutes at a time.
Apocolypse?
No, of course not.
Just a wonderful Eclipse.
I dampened darkness
Of the white mind
In the black night sky.
