Tears of now

she cried today

tears of now and of past

knowing she had to let him go

I cried with her; my pain never hers

but deep within I felt its nerve

caught within fiber of song--

a tribute to Him

who gives Life

her spirit will continue to live in Spirit

where courage and care is found

this I know: in heart

there is unknown strength so profound

for those that know His touch

Author notes

No number of resuscitations could prolong her husband's life; he died this week, 46 years of age. She buried him on Saturday. This morning she was at her post to lead us in worship and song. I pay tribute to her and her children.

Please tell me what you think

The loss of a spouse is not a subject that I spend too much time with. Can't fathom the thought, not after being married for 36 years but the stark reality is life is simply a weigh station for death, prolonging our times together.

My condolences to the family and friends.

When our time is at its end,
    we have comfort in knowing
He is our solace and our friend,
our Father and a shelter to keep us till the end.

God bless you and Yours ♥

    Renee

Ahhh, my Friend. It seems you are immersed in other's grief and loss these days. May he rest in peace, and may her sorrow lift with the knowledge of his freedom.
