Never Betray Instinct

Wolf backed into a corner of a room
Shackles cover him too
He sits and bides his time
Pinned down by concern
Eyes of fields of gold are now consumed
Emerald and amber overflowed with hurt
Waters of sorrow rust the chains
In all of her damned games

A howl rings out...

Now these chains are finally broken
This wolf is free, now heart's captivity
No longer binding, no more does it beseech

The ways he's always known,
The greatest of our kings
Sundown burns the sky down
Dawn shall not come

The wolf gains speed in his intent
Gaining will to persevere
Valience not in vigil faith alone
But rising above sin
His howl rings across the land
Some now call him Fenrir
But it's just the cage that enraged him
Now his heart is filled with contempt

A howl rings out...

Now these chains are finally broken
This wolf is free, now heart's captivity
No longer binding, no more does it beseech

The ways he's always known,
The greatest of our kings
Sundown burns the sky down
Dawn shall not come

Never will he betray instinct,
Not again, for all this strife hath risen,
All his burden bore due to his care,
His passion in his love now overflows with hate

One lone lesson
Never betray instinct.

Author notes

I should listen to my own damned advice more often.

this is a very unique piece with a universal message. I think that listening to our instincts is always the best way to go. Thanks for sharing this. Peace and light,

Instinct is purity. Most confuse instinct with the defiled human 'nature'.

      Thank you.
