and why is it after long debates about life
love, sexuality and family ties
that i feel somewhat deflated with it all
maybe life, yes
or maybe not
just a little bemused at what our lot is
whomever 'our' is
and was
the call of elated choruses
speculation of a child growing
each into their worlds
days spend their time realing
aware of strife
amused at how we fail soundly
on the rim of the abyss
we all peer intent
at not falling inwards
maybe i should wish for a cyclone on a sunday afternoon
just to liven things up

You don't live too close to my house, I hope. I'm home on Sunday.

the boys were wearing plastic bags as helmets
rided imaginary horses made out recycled tires
and on the radio same guy tended to score a lot
the sports guy was all cliche
and the crowd in the background as dumb as ever
we all peel ident
ity if not ically
and if it is just a search then it is only an exercise
of sense(s)

It winds up a subtle way of saying something so profound, mankind walking near the edge; because no matter how we say it the reality of the thing is so much bigger, like saying the night sky is big...
...here's hoping we don't fall in, and that the cyclone always brings a smile, like it did for me ...here... I enjoyed...PK

Your lovely words are enough to shake the thoughts out. I adore it when you get in the zone and write like this, so beautiful.

Oh yes I think a cyclone would liven things up a lot but maybe being hit by half a house might knock the peace and tranquility out of it all lol...you give me a Sunday that I think I can picture happening and trust me one without the wind is infinitely better
