The Prowler (Iron Maiden Tribute)

A city so bright with vibrant gold light,
Subdues the shadow presented before me,
And decadence at dusk, oh how I must,
Get a better view at what I want to see.

You're dressed to kill, and it feels so real,
I'm going to move and make you mine,
Take you for a walk in Acacia park,
Come on, Girl, I'll show you a good time.

I'll follow you till dawn, as the city's sounds yawn,
I just want to subdue you seductive siren,
You look so pretty and I'm feeling kinda needy,
Need a better view at what should've been done.

You're dressed to kill, and it feels so right,
I want to take you right here tonight,
Just for a stroll, to caress and hold,
Come on Girl, I'll show you a good time.

I'm the Prowler!

Author notes

Oh good god, i got shivers down my spine the whole way through!! Wow, that is awesome, and a really well done rhyming scheme. Flowed really well through the entire piece.

    Amazing Imagery

I can feel and see everything, him stalking her, feel the need. Made my heart race a little. I absolutely loved it, it's perfect, don't change anything. Thanks for entering my contest!

No problem, glad to see another Maiden fan amognst us.

I would've tried perhaps something like the Phantom of the Opera, but I figured Prowler might be my bag.

I must ask though, which did you prefer, honestly, Di'anno or Dickenson?

Bruce Dickinson all the way, but Di'anno didn't do too shabby a job. By chance have you heard Prowler '88?

Yes I have, actually. I still prefer the Di'Anno years though. I like Dickenson's voice, but I get tired of it after a while (like after 10+ songs in a row).

Hopefully Ill get to see maiden if they come around again.

I haven't heard that song, I just tried to find it but my computer wasn't happy. It is not on any of my maiden CD's ( I have only 9 of their CD's ) so it must be on one I haven't got. Anyway your poem is well written and you obviously have the talent for writing. Still I would have liked to have heard the inspiration behind this poem/lyrics. Up the irons and good luck here!

It's the first track off of their self-titled debut album I think. It had Di'Anno on vocals instead of dickenson. Thanks for the comment
