He’s no longer into flings, liaisons, or one night stands; nothing without obligations. He’s had his share of them and in the end always felt like shit. No, not just shit, but stepped on dog shit. At the end of each muddled affair, he felt as if pieces of him were left behind like footprints leading back to the steaming pile he once was. And in his day, he was a pretty decent turd.

Yup! Leaves a smelly residue, doesn't it!

A very famous deceased friend (Robert Jr. Lockwood, Blues Legend) once told us, as he and his band were the live musicians for our play "Rabbit's Foot"...
"Be careful who you lay down with because you don't know what spirit you will get up with."
Glad to know that you're beginning to settle down. My son did, about three years ago. He will be 35 on Saturday (Bud), and he is happier now than he has ever been, with his wife and little girl.
I love "muddled affair". What a reality are those two words. I am smiling over here because you are like a son to me Dez! Good for you!
Always ♥

LOLLLLLLL
You know you off right LOLlll. I love the way you write and this is so vivid but I hate when you use dooky as metaphors (you are too good at that too)...You are too much Dez and always so entertaining.

Interesting comparison. Missing something...sort of like a great idea too quickly executed. You seem a bit off your usual delivery. Love the idea of this feeling expressed by a man. Seldom is this side spoken of publicly.
