Inta-sex Me: A Public Announcement on Behalf of Black Women

Inta-sex Me:
A Public Announcement on Behalf of Black Women

In response to
too many booty callers
with too little game;
too many, “what did you call me’s?”
‘cause a brother was
clueless that she even possessed a brain;
way too many shallow conversations
followed by, “forget you bitch,”
because she wouldn’t give
her number or name.
Excuse me... but,
if you can't inta-sex her intellect
and soul-seduce her being.
she has nothing for you
'cause nothin' you have for her has meaning;
seeing as
little she has to offer
is within your realm of recognition.
Truth be told,
if all you see in her
is sexual
you really haven’t been listening.
Her discipline, is the result
of her recognizing who she is...
divinely defined beyond
what you seek within her pants.
Yea man, she can dance!
She just won’t dance with fools
who by the way
she define as those
whose intellect can’t get past
their waistline.
Negro,
she doesn’t need you to
tell her she’s fine!
Her divine  creator
told her she was fearfully
and wonderfully made.
Her gender boasts names
like Nefertiti and Sojourner Truth;
Maya Angelou and Rosa Parks;
yet all you see  in her are
unachieved conquests
and for that you bring your best game of degradation
hidden under false compliments
and empty promises.
But the saddest part is
she was hoping you would
rise to the occasion,
but your kingdom,
sadly, lacks a king.
Perhaps next lifetime
you will recognize
the Queen in her
or more importantly,
the King she sees...
in you.

    All too often true...

    Hey John! This is so pathetic, what those drip dicks do to womanhood (black or white or whatever, [shades are not consequential]) and you have once again hit the nail on the head; well said, poetically said... DW

    Thank You for this poem Jpohn!

    "if you can't inta-sex her intellect
    and soul-seduce her being.
    she has nothing for you"

    You can say that again!

    There is so much truth here. The men of today need to stand up and listen. If we would just treat each other like we'd like to be treated some of our issues would vanish.

    I am grateful that I had the kind of parents that insisted I believe in myself. They told me constantly how smart, beautiful, and talented I was, from a very early age. They were confidence builders so, I sought a man who would do the same, understand my confidence, and not see it as arrogance. I chose a square, a homebody, a dedicated man who knew what he wanted. He loves that I am intelligent, and as we age our conversations are fascinating. He still tells me I'm beautiful and I deliver his kingship on every hand.

    The sexual part of our relationship is a gift that we exchange at will. He understood that from the beinning because it took him six months to get a good kiss, and another six to get to the GOLD! LOL

    Great write John! I love every morsel!

    This is completely awesome. I'm glad you wrote this. People need to stop treating other like they aren't worth anything but a round in bed. And I think that black women are some of the most beautiful people out there. And after going to school with women just like in the poem, I see that men should respect these women's personalities and bodies just the same, if not more than what they do. Excellent write! I wish more poems like this were out there, wreaking of truth.

    This is awesome. You've penned our feelings so well with this piece.
    You should copy this and insert it into the manual "players?" supposedly live by.
    This my brother was written by a true man.
    I'm all out of the little clappy things but this I give triple five stars.

    This is great - especially the reminder at the end, that she may see you as king, man who gives her no credence...Alienation, and the need for men and women to join together to dispel the wrongs they've both suffered.

    Write on - your truths may not be tasty, but they are strong and right.

    Very wise words John. A message that spans cultures and continents as well. We should all learn to honour and appreciate our women more. Bravo!
