Love And Hope: The Essence

In spite of my inner darkness
Consisting of remorse and deep regret,
I still believe in love.

I believe very much in the growth of the human spirit
Consisting of warm, tender sweetness
And fine gentleness.

I believe the hope of a better tomorrow,
The possibility of world peace.
I believe in the truth of wisdom,
The good of equality,
The courage of generosity.

I believe in every good thing
And I believe it's all possible.

Love and hope is the essence of everything.

Author notes

Maybe I sound a little naive in this poem but the love that burns inside me
caused me to write this. I believe every word of it; I always have.

    Very inspiring...

    I like this poem because I believe in all of the same things. I too feel deep regret at times, but it is also true that we need to get past those feelings and remember the love. Without hope and love we have nothing to hold onto and this poem reminds me of that. Thank you for wording it this way.

    good i like that it talks about all that is good and all that is bad even if some people don't like it i love it cause it expresses what one person can feel through their life like i said before this is really good hope to see more new poems soon
