Sanctuary or prison, a garden may be many things.
Stones, shrubberies, confined her, oftentimes wished she for wings.
Until an enormous voice addressed her. She wondered could it be God?
A humorous voice, suprisingly without pity, how most voices be shod.
Daily abandoned by Nanny, solitary garden and her own company.
Melodious voice painted universes unseen, longing colors symphony.
Stories of myriad entanglements throughout his lifespan; fifty eons,
Marvelous dilemnas, deep trickeries, told of cruel kings, tired peons.
She then tells him huge darkness surrounds, entombing only her eyes,
Ears catching nuances, hearing through all manners; falsehoods' disguise.
Fanciful delusions filling her time, else she would have gone insane.
How stereotypically happy children be a norm of the wretchedly inane.
Dusky evening befalling, their converasations of marathon proportion.
Nanny came late, collectomg she so lonely, may as well be orphaned.
Nanny didn't hear his tender manner, rich baritone of velvet icecream.
Beady eyes; hulahoops, "DRAGON!" she faints. Cuts off shrieks, screams.
"Save me!" wee princess implores, on collision course to her old friend.
"Nanny's my warden, hired to contain me! Make my captivity end!"
Above clouds like califloweer, earth fell away, gently together; flew,
Murmuring, "Fear not, precious, I'm no monster, humanity hasn't a clue!
"Caging a heart, intent to stifle, dread small minded creatures' deceit!
I'll gift you wonder in nature's expanse, sweetness my wings be fleet!
We'll waltz through starry cosmos, deliciously bejewelled rainbows,
Worlds ruled by tyrannical daisies, as winged baboons play piccolos!"
"Thank you, dear friend!" she, full to burst, "I'll be no trouble at all!
I don't eat much, I hardly ever curse, I won't crowd, I'm awfully small!"
His laughter, trying not to spook her, thunderous, tolling like bells,
Hiding unshed tears in his eyes, rage at her captors, for now; quells.
"Dear, Princess, none shall harm you, my patience with them be thin!
A friend such as you, soul to match mine, my dear, today you and I win!"
