My Mood Displayed High Above

My mood reflected above my head
As I went out on a walk that day
Your rumbling told me you understood my anger
The tears pouring from your dark and clouded eyes
Reminded me of my sadness over my loss of you

I did not realise your understanding before now
The bright days, my smile reflected in your lit up eyes
A giant screen to display my feelings to the world
And I want everyone to see I am no longer a happy smiley child

I am a storm, brewing and ready to hit
Anger fills me as your rumbling grows louder
Sadness consumes me as your tears flow, faster and heavier
Let someone see your message
And understand my pain

I’m sorry I have dampened the world with my mood
And I’m sorry you all have to see
I didn’t ask the world to follow my mood
And display it each day above me.

i really like this piece. pathetic fallacy [the technical term for when the weather reflects the mood of the character] annoys me because its meant to be subtle but it ends up having big flashing lights above it.

this was the reverse, and it was, if you'll excuse the pun, a breath of fresh air.
